It is hard to believe that this school year is already coming to a close. We have had so many adventures over the course of the year. We will truly miss our 5th graders as they transition to the Middle School. We wish them best luck and know they are all ready for the challenge!
There are so many, many end of the year activities. Please make sure you check our calendar section so you don’t miss out on any of them or the field trips the grade levels have planned. The last day of school is Thursday, June 11th. School will end at 1:25. We will be having our annual end of the year Picnic here at school. This is a fun event where families are invited to spend the last hours of the day with their child here at Tahoe Valley. We will be hosting a hot dog picnic with other tasty foods during our lunchtime. You can come eat, laugh, and share some special memories with your child. (You can also help them carry home all of their special treasures from class.)
We are sad to see not only our 5th graders leave but some of our beloved staff members. Please make sure you let these special ladies know how much they mean to you. Mrs. Ross (RSP-retiring), Mrs. Kushner (TK-retiring), Mrs. Willmett (1st-retiring), Mrs. Boyer (Speech & Language-retiring), Ms. Nighswonger (READ 180-moving to STMS to help get their READ 180 program up and running), Ms. Magnussen (P.E./Dance -moving to work with high school dance off the hill)
We have already started planning our new events and programs for the 2015-16 school year. If you are just moving into the area, please come by the office to sign up and register for school. Our school office will be open until Monday, June 22, then re-opening on Monday, August 17th. Have a FANTASTIC summer and don’t forget to READ!!!!
