Dear Families,
The holiday season is upon us and it always gives me pause to reflect on people and things I am so very thankful for. First, I want to thank each of you for placing your child’s welfare and education in our hands here at Tahoe Valley. We do not take our jobs lightly and constantly try our hardest to provide the care and experiences we hope others would give to our own children and loved ones. I want to thank all of the staff here at Tahoe Valley also for being so open to innovation and new ideas. Because of this we are really starting to make Tahoe Valley known to the community and beyond. This is starting to be the school that people are requesting and bringing their child/ren to because of the changes we have implemented. They love how we are embedding the Arts into our curriculum and providing a “well-rounded” educational experience. Thank you to every family, staff and community member who are giving their all to help transform Tahoe Valley School into the amazing place it is becoming.
I know I mentioned it in my last newsletter, but I feel it cannot be overstated enough. Attendance is the one piece that can make the biggest difference in the academic attainment of your child. It has been proven over and over again as the easiest way to help your child reach their potential both socially and academically. It is VITAL that you get your child to school EVERY DAY!
We will be starting our musical after the beginning of the new year, so watch out for this year’s extravaganza. It promises to be spectacular!!!! More information will be coming home this month on how to sign up and the dates of our performances. We have a lot of community members who will be helping us out so make sure you thank them for their service!
Please take care and if you will be traveling over the holiday season, please be safe. You are each a member of our family here at Tahoe Valley Elementary School.
Respectfully,
Christina Grubbs
