Dear Families, Colleagues and Friends,

It has been my distinct pleasure serving as Tahoe Valley’s Principal over the last eight years.  I have served in the educational field throughout the entire state of California, and as a National Board Certified Teacher for well over 30 years.

This school and district are filled with the most dedicated and caring professionals.  Lake Tahoe Unified School District has always put the “Kids First” and it is my deepest desire you continue to do so.  Every decision should continue to be made from the standpoint that our students deserve no less than the absolute best and they are put front and center in every conversation we have.

I have come to the tough decision that it is time for me to leave this amazing school and district and retire after December 18th.  What makes this easier is knowing that I am leaving the students in the best hands possible and have set up procedures and programs which I know will live on in the future.

Each one of you has touched my life and for that I will always be grateful.  It has been an honor serving alongside all of you from teacher, mentor, coach, and administrator.

For my students, families and community, work hard and continue to strive for your dreams.  I am the product of such determination as shown from my background.  You are the future, the hope for the world, and the caretakers of humanity.

With much respect,
